The latest Devilish Merry recording continues to combine eclectic sounds. The african/blues roots banjo and earthy vocals of Sue Powers, the unique virtuosity of Jeff Berman's Mountain dulcimer, Kip Ruefle's mastery of the modern approach to the Bodhran, Bob Powers's space rock/ blues lap steel, Jan Hamilton Sota's hard driving, improvisational fusion of Old time and Irish fiddle, L.E. McCullough's lyrical, inventive tin wistle playing, with the Jack Kerouac bass of Sam Matthews makes this recording a Progressive Folk stand out! We had a lot of fun developing this material that was inspired Sue Power's return to the Western PA area.

True to tradition, true to the impulse to make music that speaks from and to the soul, Devilish Merry makes music that is mellow and edgy, ethereal and intense, enchanting and nefarious.

A folk music cult classic!
